Facilities Coordinator and Front-of-House Assistant Job Description The RIAI is recruiting a Facilities Coordinator/Front-of-House Assistant to support the RIAI Bookshop Manager and Office Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic, professional organisation. Tenure: Full Time Permanent Location: 8 Merrion Square Dublin 2 - Due to the onsite nature of this position remote working cannot be facilitated. Salary: €30,000 The Role The role covers two areas of responsibility. Firstly, to ensure the smooth running of meetings and events and ensuring the house is presented to Members and the public in 5-star condition: internally and externally clean, tidy and clutter free. You will be liaising with external facilities management agencies and may be required to lift heavy objects. Secondly, to assist front-of-house in the bookshop assisting with reception and retail as and when required by the Bookshop Manager. Duties Preparing rooms for meetings or exhibitions Assisting with the installation of exhibitions Answering phone calls in reception Serving customers in the bookshop Checking stationery levels and restocking the bookshop Checking room supplies Opening the building each morning at 0830 Collecting, franking, and posting mail Checking invoices for utilities and catering supplies Checking levels of tea, coffee, milk, sugar etc and ordering when required and maintaining coffee machines Waste management Benefits include: Learning and development opportunities Tax saver commuter ticket Cycle to work scheme Employer pension contributions Contribution to private health insurance Job Requirements Professional and business-like approach Discretion in all interactions Adaptability and resourcefulness Prioritisation of key tasks Attention to detail and set-up Highly motivated and positive approach to work Be able to work on your own initiative or as part of a team Ability to build good rapport with all staff, and all visitors to the building Flexible (flexible lunch times/start/finish times as required) A knowledge of building maintenance is desirable i.e. basic DIY, plumbing, electrical etc A knowledge of computers and audio visual Friendly and pleasant manner Neat dress essential Desirable: Manual Handling Certificate
