FACILITIES ENGINEER | CAVAN | PERMANENT | Do you have previous experience working as an Engineer within a Civil or Structural environment? There is a wonderful permanent opportunity available for an experienced Engineer to work with our client on their site within a manufacturing environment. Please note based on business and role requirements that this role is fully based on site in Cavan. ON OFFER| Negotiable base salary Bonus Pension Share purchase Options Paid maternity and paternity leave THE ROLE | The new team member will work in a busy and fast paced structural and civils environment where there is an expansive portfolio of projects underway. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will contribute to the performance of their portfolio of works within the facilities division on site. You will be responsible for contractor coordination, development of compliance specification, supporting the project management process including budget oversight and ensuring safety and operational efficiency. To excel in this role, you will be a qualified Engineer with a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with 5 years previous experience including experience of managing teams such as sub-contractors. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES| Operational Management duties include supervising operational staff on site, carrying out risk assessments and safety inspections, ensuring compliance is completed of all facility related project activity Management of contractors and specialist consultants appointed to ensure they fully deliver on their contractual obligations. Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all buildings and groundworks Project lead facility projects Assisting Design teams on development of site-specific Facility/Utility equipment/processes as required Creation of Project Progression reports Work and communicate with third party groups and authorities in development of the infrastructure with oversight of facilities/utilities preventative maintenance program REQUIREMENTS | National Framework of Qualifications Degree level 8 qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering with previous 5 years' experience Working knowledge of principles and practices of business administration, procurement, and contracts Demonstrable health, safety, and environmental knowledge and best practices in a manufacturing setting, with the ability to enforce these practices rigorously.
