Experienced Facilities Engineer sought for permanent position in Cavan, working on site in a busy and fast-paced structural and civils environment.
Job Description: We are seeking a qualified Engineer with a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and 5 years' experience in managing teams, including sub-contractors. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supervising operational staff on site
- Carrying out risk assessments and safety inspections
- Ensuring compliance with facility-related project activity
- Managing contractors and specialist consultants
- Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all buildings and groundworks
- Project lead for facility projects
- Assisting design teams on development of site-specific facility/equipment/processes
- Creation of project progression reports
- Work and communicate with third-party groups and authorities
Requirements:
- National Framework of Qualifications Degree level 8 qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Previous 5 years' experience in civil maintenance and engineering
- Working knowledge of principles and practices of business administration, procurement, and contracts
- Demonstrable health, safety, and environmental knowledge and best practices in a manufacturing setting
