Job Description

Experienced Facilities Engineer sought for permanent position in Cavan, working on site in a busy and fast-paced structural and civils environment.

Job Description: We are seeking a qualified Engineer with a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and 5 years' experience in managing teams, including sub-contractors. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supervising operational staff on site
  • Carrying out risk assessments and safety inspections
  • Ensuring compliance with facility-related project activity
  • Managing contractors and specialist consultants
  • Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all buildings and groundworks
  • Project lead for facility projects
  • Assisting design teams on development of site-specific facility/equipment/processes
  • Creation of project progression reports
  • Work and communicate with third-party groups and authorities

Requirements:

  • National Framework of Qualifications Degree level 8 qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Previous 5 years' experience in civil maintenance and engineering
  • Working knowledge of principles and practices of business administration, procurement, and contracts
  • Demonstrable health, safety, and environmental knowledge and best practices in a manufacturing setting
