Data Centre Facilities Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Facilities Engineer to join our team.
This role involves working in shifts to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our clients' data centre facilities.
You will be responsible for all technical operations, providing technical, preventive and corrective maintenance to the agreed SLA's, maintaining customer satisfaction to the highest standard.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain data centre infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and reliability of all systems
- Respond promptly to facility-related issues and emergencies, providing timely and effective solutions
- Maintain a working understanding of EOPs and escalation procedures
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to support data centre operations and projects
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and inventory
- Manage subcontractor repairs and documentation
- Contribute to the creation of operational procedures and processes
- Provide first-level response and assist in root cause analysis for facility issues and rack-level events
- Inspect, monitor, maintain, and repair buildings and equipment according to client quality standards
- Continuously update and maintain knowledge on all facility-related processes and procedures
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Ensure operational excellence, meeting SLA's and proactively identifying potential risks
- Maintain business and client confidentiality, adhering to GDPR regulations
