Job Title: Facilities Engineer Salary: Competitive plus substantial bonus, pension contributions, health contribution Job Type: Permanent Location: Co. Meath Ref:S011532 RecruitmentPlus on behalf of our client have an excellent opportunity to join a successful organisation in the position of Facilities Engineer to be responsible for the plant structural and industrial engineering works. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Facilities Engineer will recommend best practice solutions and work across departments on-site along with contractors and external partners. Due to location you will need your own transport, free parking on site and easily reachable from areas within Meath, Cavan, Louth, Monaghan, north Westmeath, south Armagh. Requirements: Hold a level 8 qualification in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of related work experienceOR an equivalent combination of education and work experience in a similar environment/role Experience in industrial maintenance, engineering and all facets of large-scale industrial operations Working knowledge of of principles and practices of business administration, procurement and contracts Strong knowledge of, and able to enforce health, safety and environmental best practices in a manufacturing environment Demonstrable negotiating, supervisory and leadership skills, with excellent planning and organisational ability Excellent communication and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Strong on maths and IT Key Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all buildings and groundworks and be the point of contact Undertake technical and feasibility studies, site inspections of utilities and project lead projects Ensure building regulations compliance Vendor management, negotiate contracts and manage service agreements and relationships Generate and present regular reports and reviews of facility related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures and purchases Conduct and document regular site inspections on fire, water and energy supply assets. Oversee the facilities / utilities preventative maintenance programme Assist Design teams with development of site specific facility / utility equipment and processes as required Act as Project Engineer / Sponsor for facility projects Ensure designs and maintenance of building systems meet legislative and H&S requirements If you have the relevant qualifications and experience and are interested in this position, please apply now and Ciara who is based in our Northeast office will be in contact if you are suitable.
