Job Description
Facilities Engineer required to support local site operations, ensuring routine schedules and maintenance are completed to meet regulatory requirements.
As a key member of the Facilities team, you will be responsible for providing technical and mechanical assistance, planning and scheduling maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with GMP guidelines and written procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the Facilities Manager on facilities projects within GMP labs
- Planning and scheduling maintenance activities, generating work orders, and tracking progress
- Supporting site needs, responding to communication from other departments, and providing technical assistance
- Scheduling work around operations to minimize impact on schedules
- Managing contractors on PMs and site change projects
- Performing daily walk-throughs to verify tasks are completed to required expectations
- Keeping records in an audit-ready state and ensuring compliance with GMP guidelines
- Managing service contracts, generating quotations, and providing competitive prices
Requirements:
- Relevant educational qualification to 3rd level
- Minimum 3 years experience in a Facilities/Maintenance role with responsibility for site maintenance, equipment maintenance, and working with vendors
- Good understanding of Lab operations and support needed within a GMP environment
- Experience with utilities such as HVACs, boilers, fume hoods, etc.
- Strong understanding of GMP and ability to adhere to laboratory policies and standard operating procedures
- Proficient computer skills and effective communication skills
