Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Facilities Engineer to oversee all plant-based structural and civil engineering works at our client’s Kingscourt plant. This role involves managing facility maintenance, leading projects, ensuring compliance, and optimizing operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Facilities Maintenance: Manage the upkeep of all buildings, grounds, and infrastructure. Act as the primary contact for third-party contractors.Project Leadership: Lead facility-related projects, including feasibility studies, site inspections, and managing new and ongoing projects.Contractor Management: Coordinate and negotiate with contractors, manage service agreements, and ensure compliance with RAMS and insurance requirements.Compliance: Ensure all projects meet building regulations, fire safety standards, and ATEX compliance.Financial Oversight: Report on facility-related budgets, contracts, and expenditures, and optimize cost efficiency.Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and oversee the preventative maintenance program.Project Management: Act as Project Engineer or Sponsor for facility projects such as re-roofing, remodelling, and expansions.Health and Safety: Ensure building systems comply with legislative and safety requirements, and lead risk prevention and insurance audits.Required Skills and Experience:Education: Level 8 qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.Experience: At least 5 years in a similar role, with a focus on large-scale civil operations.Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with business administration, procurement, contracts, and safety best practices.Leadership: Strong supervisory, negotiation, and leadership skills.Organizational Skills: Excellent planning and time management.Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.Technical Proficiency: Strong mathematical and IT skills.Exceptional salary and amazing benefits included! #J-18808-Ljbffr
