Job Description
Field Service Engineer summary: Perform routine servicing, inspections, and repairs on distribution tractors, Ro-Ro tractors, and other products on customer premises. Conduct visual or operational checks to locate worn, dirty, or maladjusted parts, and carry out technical inspections to find and repair defective machine parts. Thoroughly inspect accident damaged machines, produce accurate reports, and work independently with minimal supervision, observing company and site safety requirements.
\u2022 Determine own repair and maintenance techniques and implement safety measures.
\u2022 Obtain customer agreement and signature for completed work.
\u2022 Ensure maintenance and repairs are in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and company procedures.
\u2022 Work additional hours, including out of hours call out, and work away from home on customer vehicles.
\u2022 Flexible approach to work.
\u2022 Ability to work to tight deadlines, under pressure.
\u2022 Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
\u2022 Ability to manage own workload and prioritize tasks.
\u2022 Knowledge of diagnostic systems and substantial experience in Auto Electrician fault diagnosis and resultant repairs.
\u2022 Working experience of heavy goods/specialist vehicles.
\u2022 City and Guilds Level 3 Vehicle Mechanical and Electronic Systems Maintenance and Repair Qualification or equivalent.
\u2022 Valid driving license
