Field Service Engineer required for a clean technology/sustainability start-up in North Tipperary, close to Limerick City. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot issues, become an SME with current products/technology, and support customer operators and technical personnel.

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for:
- Installation and commissioning of new equipment, including IQ, OQ, and PQ (Installation, Operation and Performance Qualification)
- Training and supporting customer operators and technical personnel on company systems
- Service and maintenance of systems installed at customer sites
- Repair and testing of electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment
- Assisting in the design and development of electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment
- Participating in cross-functional team meetings and risk assessments
- Supporting value engineering projects and developing cost reduction initiatives
- Working closely with other departments and external service providers to maintain and enhance equipment performance
- Updating equipment operating and maintenance procedures
- Providing regular updates on assigned tasks and projects
- Ensuring all company equipment is maintained and in good working order
- Ensuring full compliance with Safety, Health, and Environmental guidelines
**Requirements:**
- Trade qualification with level 7 in Engineering (a distinct advantage)
- 3-5 years of Electrical/Mechanical machine build/support experience
- Previous installation and qualification of machinery and equipment in customer sites
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
- Basic Siemens PLC coding experience (an advantage)
- Experience in technical writing, including validation protocols and associated test plans
- Interpretation of P&IDs, equipment/system layouts, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and specifications
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Self-motivated, capable of working on own initiative, and working to tight deadlines
- Strong customer service focus with ability to interact confidently and professionally with system end users/customers
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- PC literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and MS Project
- Full clean driving license
