Job Description

Electronic Equipment Engineers required for a dynamic start-up operation in North Kildare, supporting a key account in Semi-Conductor Manufacturing, with a focus on high-level electronic process and vision systems equipment.

Cpl is retained as the exclusive recruitment partner for a Japanese-owned start-up that supplies and installs high-level electronic process and vision systems equipment for a key account in Semi-Conductor Manufacturing in North Kildare.

As the new build nears completion, the facility is now at the installation and qualification phase of its new plant and equipment. We are supporting our client in hiring 4 Degree Qualified Electronic Engineering professionals to join the team of Site Based Field Service Engineers.

You will be joining a new, dynamic team of Degree and master's qualified electronic and automation engineering professionals. The roles are based on the client site in North Kildare but may require travel to the USA, Japan, or Germany for additional equipment training as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Supply, maintain, repair, and install various kinds of Electronic Assembly Equipment across the facility.
  • Provide engineering support and troubleshoot complicated products and problems.
  • Determine problems by responding accordingly on-site.
  • Provide over-the-phone consultation and advice and respond to emergencies.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on Company products.
  • Establish and manage a local maintenance service structure.
  • Inspect and evaluate the usage of Company products and provide training in maintenance.
  • Support and provide assistance on Company's products when required.
  • Liaise with the applications programmer when changing applications.
  • Investigate market needs for the Company's products.
  • Submit application reports, service reports, and expense reports to management promptly.
  • Support sales activities while establishing and maintaining good relationships with the team and contractors.
  • Participate in sales meetings as required.
  • Provide training to other engineers on the team as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with engineers in the Japanese headquarters regarding product applications and technical issues.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Robotics, Automation, etc.
  • Previous work experience in a similar position or a keen interest in a career in electronics if at graduate level.
  • Strong technical product knowledge and customer service experience are advantageous.
  • Strong time management and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional listening and understanding skills to solve problems effectively and efficiently.

Tools, Equipment, Work Environment:

  • Use of extremely high precision equipment, electronic diagnostic equipment, and test fixtures will be part of your daily routine.
  • Be part of a team of high-performing engineers installing, pre-qualifying, and validating complex vision and inspection systems for semi-conductor manufacturing.
  • Software includes the use of Windows operating system and MS Office.
  • Must be able to occasionally travel to the US, Japan, or Germany for product training.
