Unijobs are currently recruiting for a Finance Administrator with the University of Limerick. We are looking for someone to commence asap until August 2025 initially. The working hours are 35 per week and paid at a rate of €17.58. Job Purpose: This is a position within the Research Finance office of the University and will offer an excellent opportunity to a highly motivated individual to further develop their skills and experience. The key purpose of the role is to provide administrative support in the Research Finance Office. The Research Finance Office provides a range of financial services, support and advice to the research community within the University and to the funding agencies and other partner Higher Education Institutes (HEI's) external to the University. This role will be responsible for transaction processing, preparing financial reports for research projects and audit file preparation and support. Key Accountabilities: Prepare Financial Reports for individual Research Projects. Responding to subsequent funder queries & information requests. Audit file preparation for research funding body and other audits and conducting review prior to submission Run & distribute monthly financial reports on all research projects for all budget holders, departments and division heads and faculties. Responding to follow on queries & information requests from Principal Investigators, Heads of Departments, Faculty Managers etc. Transaction processing & approving expenditure on workflow for research projects in line with UL policies and procedures and funding body terms and conditions. Monitoring Income & Expenditure for Research Projects & Cost Centre including surplus/deficit balance reviews & follow up with PIs, external funders/partners to resolve any issues identified Working as part of a team within in the Research Finance Office & building and maintaining key working relationships with internal and external constituencies. Other work as assigned by the Research Finance Manager. Knowledge Understanding of financial systems/transaction processing Working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Excel & Word Ability to interact with internal and external customers Knowledge of enterprise resource packages e.g. Agresso Understanding of financial systems/transaction processing Working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Excel & Word Ability to interact with internal and external customers Education / Qualifications Leaving Certificate or equivalent Experience 2 years' experience in a Finance Department or similar Unijobs DAC is an equal opportunity employer Skills: Reliable Hardworking Reliable
