Here’s to the world ahead.Graebel is now looking to recruit for a Finance Director, a role which will occupy a critical role within the business. The Finance Director will lead the European team and take overall responsibility for financial responsibilities of the Graebel European legal entities. Responsibilities would include traditional transaction processing, monthly close process, external audits, financial reporting, and compliance matters. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader experienced in the traditional financial leadership role as well as willing to lead and support Finance/VAT and compliance matters for all Graebel's European clients. This role will report to Graebel’s global corporate controller and support and advise Graebel’s operational personnel and European Managing Director. This role will be integral to the growth of our EMEA region. We are looking for exceptional people who want to make a difference in the world. Maintain an accounting system appropriate to the requirements of the business, enabling accurate accounting records to be kept. Ensure that transactions are appropriately authorized and entered to the accounting system (D365) accurately and promptly.Ensure that balance sheet reconciliations are completed at the end of each month.Ensure that daily reconciliations of the safeguarding bank accounts are performed in accordance with regulatory requirements and liaising with the Company VP of Finance, Treasurer and CFO, to ensure the proper reporting of reconciling items / differences to the relevant Regulatory Body.Plan the level of financial resources required to operate an effective finance function.Ensure that appropriate finance staff are recruited, and appropriate training provided. Reporting Ensure that monthly financial reports are produced for the CFO, including full management accounts pack comprising profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, key performance indicators and commentary.Develop KPI metrics to assist the identification of key trends in the business.Ensure that any ad-hoc reporting is produced as required.Preparation of draft year end statutory accounts and liaison with external auditors.Liaison with the Internal Audit function. Cost Control Periodic review of cost items compared to budget and work with stakeholders to improve financial performance.Ensure orders are raised for relevant expenditure (inc. CAPEX) and are appropriately authorized. Administration and Taxation Working with internal and external advisors to manage all aspects of tax compliance, including preparation and submission of necessary returns, and ensuring that payments and refunds are processed in a timely manner.Liaising with external tax advisors, corporate tax team and governmental bodies as required.Act as Graebel's European VAT expert across the globe and directly interact with operations and prospects to ensure efficient structures are in place and reclamation is maximized. Cash Flow Manage company treasury position, and regular reporting of the company’s cash position for all entities Outside the US.Ensure that cash inflows and outflows are managed efficiently in collaboration with the corporate treasury team.Manage foreign currency risk programs in collaboration with corporate policy and practice Other duties and responsibilities  Corporate requests and monthly flash reports are competed in accordance to monthly closing scheduleAssist in establishing procedures to enforce compliance of set company standards.Participates in the development, testing, and training of new processes or procedures.Performs other duties as assigned.Required Skills Required Skills and Education Fully Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.Familiarity with international laws and country-specific compliance knowledge desirable.
