Job Description

**Director of Finance Role Summary:** Seeking a qualified accountant to lead the finance team and provide strategic leadership and effective performance of the finance function in a community-based rehabilitation services organization.

We are currently recruiting for a Director of Finance to lead our finance team as part of the National Office team in Dun Laoghaire. The contract available is Permanent, Full time, 35hrs. The starting salary is €73,941 - DOE.

**About the Role:** The Director of Finance holds overall senior management responsibility for the strategic leadership and effective performance of the finance function in the Organisation. Reporting to the Chief Executive, and working as part of the Senior Management Team, the Director of Finance will lead and develop the Finance Team in the provision of an efficient, effective and accurate service to the Organisation.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead and develop the Finance Team in the provision of an efficient, effective and accurate service to the Organisation
  • Ensure the organisational financial infrastructure and reporting mechanisms support both statutory and non-statutory requirements at all times
  • Prepare management and annual accounts and accounts for external audit
  • Implement new accounting systems
  • Build effective relationships at all levels in the organisation, manage conflict and problem solve

**Requirements:**

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CPA, ACA, CIMA) with a minimum of 5 years PQE in industry or similar organisation
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience of financial control
  • Proven report writing and presentation experience
  • Previous experience of leading, managing and developing staff
  • Experience of planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting and payroll systems and processes
  • Excellent MS Office skills with advanced spreadsheet skills
