THE ROLE: Trinity Care is a dynamic and rapidly expanding Nursing Home group and we are part of the international group DomusVi. The group currently consists of 12 Nursing Homes throughout Ireland employing approximately 1,000 staff. We are recruiting a results-driven Finance Director to lead the finance team, improve our organisation's financial performance and direct our accounting operations. You will work closely with the CEO, Senior Finance Manager and the finance team. This senior role, supported by the Finance team includes full responsibility for best in class reporting leading an efficient monthly closing cycle. Budgeting and long-term forecasting including developing financial models to support business plan, preparation and review of all financial reports. They will also be expected to build strong relationships with the other members of the Executive team, homes and to foster a business partnering minded ethos from the finance team. This business partnering mindset needs to be underpinned with strong governance and control and an open communication style. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES The primary purpose of the Finance Director role is to provide strategic financial direction, guidance and management of the Finance function of Trinity Care in a way that facilitates the achievement of Trinity Cares ambitious growth strategy. Strategy & Leadership Develop and execute multi-year business plans (Long Term Plan) that advances our priorities and has intended impact. Execute the financial strategy as it relates to managing against the annual budget and the Long-Term Plan. Develop alternative scenarios and options to support the Executive Team in planning for growth and profitability. Seek every opportunity to develop a culture of Margin optimisation across the organisation Offer advice and guidance to nursing home managers in the development of business plans to achieve specific objectives consistent with Trinity Cares strategic objectives Oversee the timely and accurate development of budgets, financial reports, and models that will assist the CEO, Board, and other Stakeholder in making informed strategy, resource allocation, and investment decisions. Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the Leadership Team. Review, maintain and develop financial policies and procedures framework which support the business and strategic objectives, consistent with overall policies and procedures. In conjunction with CEO and Group M&A team analysis of future acquisition opportunities and integration of same into the existing group. Financial Management Full responsibility for day-to-day financial management of corporate and related party entities Accounting: management and oversight of the accounting team and accounting processes. Oversight of the preparation of statutory and consolidated financial statements Controlling: oversee and review of monthly management accounts, variance analysis on the P&L and cash-flow. Management and oversight of budget and forecast preparation and delivery, updating on a rolling basis. Bank funding and facility requests - preparation of presentation to banks, financial due diligence queries and coordinating legal diligence. Bank funding ongoing ensuring bank covenants are met and preparing quarterly compliance statements. Dealing with bank queries quarterly. Management of cashflows across the group, bank account activity across the entities and managing all property leases. Definition and monitoring of appropriate financial and non-financial KPI for the performance of the company Capex performance: financial monitoring of Capex program. Variance analysis and KPIs Evaluate and oversee risk management and insurance issues. Procurement & Acquisitions Be responsible for developing, planning and implementing best practice in Finance and Procurement.Focus on value for money and future tender opportunities. Contribute to the assessment, selection and purchasing of new equipment, both replacement or upgrading. Ensure expenditure is controlled within budget and where appropriate identify possible savings. Supporting acquisitions and due diligence relating to same Compliance & Reporting Managing annual audits and completion of tax returns. Presentations and reports for DomusVi on a monthly basis. Deliver an appropriate system of financial analysis to extract and present key performance data on the business. Review and manage (and establish as needed) internal systems, controls, processes, and procedures to ensure the integrity, accuracy, compliance, and usefulness of financial information and reporting. Team Management and Development Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team Inspire and lead the team members to achieve the Finance and Business strategies and actively support their professional development, skills, and experiences. Model ingenuity in leading the evaluation and development of cost-effective and efficient systems, processes and contract relationships to maximize return on investment, staff success and impact.
