With 8 showrooms situated at Airside near Swords, a further 4 at Navan Road and our Bray dealership we are located close to the motorway network and easily accessible from all areas of Greater Dublin. As a result of our ongoing expansion and business growth, we are seeking to strengthen our management team by appointment of positive and motivated individuals to take the business to the next level and achieve the strategic goals that we have set. We are seeking to appoint a seasoned Finance Director with extensive experience at board level in a medium to large enterprise.The Finance Director will be responsible for all the financial and management accounting at the Group. This pivotal role demands a strategic leader who can drive performance, optimise operations, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Ideally the candidate will have a knowledge of the motor industry or the retail sector and will be familiar with a fast-paced environment and working closely with the other department heads. Role responsibilities: Provide strategic financial leadership to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Oversee all treasury functions, ensuring efficient management of the companys cash flow, liquidity, and financial risks. Manage all accounting operations including billing, debtors, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cost accounting, inventory control, tax planning and compliance. Lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of innovation, transparency, and continuous improvement. Regular timely reports on financial performance on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances and opportunities. Lead initiatives for business transformation and expansion, aligning financial strategies with company goals. Focus on driving process improvements and system utilisation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards. Assess and manage risk, implementing strategies to mitigate financial risk. Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the companys long-term financial health through proactive risk management strategies. Interpret regulations, describing the impact of regulations on the business and supporting strategic change to accommodate new regulations. Work closely with senior management and other stakeholders to support decision-making and strategic planning to ensue alignment between operational and financial performance. The ideal candidate will have: A qualified accountant with senior level accountancy and managerial experience and ideally, a knowledge of the motor industry. Minimum 10 years PQE in a medium or large enterprise, preferably from the motor, retail, manufacturing or engineering sectors. Professional qualification and membership of a recognised accountancy body. Proven experience in managing treasury functions. Strong communication and negotiation skills Commercial and business awareness. Proficiency in financial software and systems. Experience in regulation interpretation and implementation in any industry e.g. GDPR (General data protection regulation) Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Exceptional organisational, analytical and process optimisation skills. Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
