FINANCE DIRECTOR- RETAIL

Our client a successful retail business is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Finance Director to join their growing business.
Responsibilities:
- Support the monthly management accounts for 20+ company entities
- Prepare the annual budgeting and maintain a robust quarterly forecasting process
- Deliver monthly financial results with detailed variance analysis
- Support audit and end of year filings
- Review/analyse and challenge site performance, providing commentary prior to declaration of financial results and advising on how to drive margins/growth/improve profit
- Work with the operational teams to analyse performance trends and advise on how these insights can be used to make a true impact on the business and increase profitability, driving agreed action plans
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure all areas are managed to produce the maximum results
- Delivering a strong management review and control process with the business owners and senior site management.
- Ensure financial control environment is properly implemented, especially around cash, stock, margins and cost control in units.
- Business partner with teams to identify future challenges in terms of inflation, supply, change controls, and seasonal trading patterns
- Build out and develop enhanced KPI reporting templates
- Prepare PowerPoints and present to senior management/ leadership teams on business performance
- Management and development of the finance team and strong collaboration with the wider business across marketing, sales, supply chain etc.
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualified candidates with 8+ years PQE
- You must have commercial experience business partnering, budgeting, forecasting, identifying trends, business performance analysis, present to senior stakeholders
- IT and system savvy
- Process improvement driven
- A strong people leader who can build trust and confidence
- Strong communicator and leader
