We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Financial Controller to join our finance team and support our growth. Job Summary: The Assistant Financial Controller will play a crucial role in the financial management of the company, assisting the Financial Controller in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing financial analysis. This position is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong background in finance and accounting, particularly within the med tech sector. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Support the Financial Controller in the preparation of reports for management and stakeholders. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and collections. Assist in managing cash flow and optimizing working capital. Internal Controls: Support the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies. Assist in conducting regular audits and reviews of financial processes. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including cost analysis, profitability assessments, and investment evaluations. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to enhance operational efficiency. Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations and regulatory affairs, to provide financial insights and support business initiatives. Assist in training and mentoring junior finance staff as needed. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant financial regulations and industry standards, ensuring the company’s compliance with all applicable laws. Qualifications: Accounting qualification with a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within the med tech or healthcare industry. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Proficiency in accounting software (Xero) and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
