Finance Manager Role Location: Co. Offaly Position Type: Permanent Part-time, 4-day week (onsite with flexible days) This role requires a Finance Manager who will take on a leadership position within the financial, compliance, and governance operations of the organisation. Reporting directly to the CEO and the Board of Directors, the role involves ensuring that financial policies, internal controls, and procedures align with best practices. Duties & Responsibilities. Monthly Payments: Prepare monthly payments, ensure proper approvals, and manage the banking system. Income & Expenditure Tracking: Record all financial transactions in the accounts package. Management Accounts: Create bi-monthly management accounts, which include budget balances, cash flow analysis, and bank reconciliations. Budgeting: Develop and monitor both annual and revised budgets for organisational programs and spending. Financial Reporting: Present financial reports to the CEO, Board of Directors, and the Finance Audit & Risk Committee. Annual Audit: Lead the audit process, collaborating with auditors to complete financial statements efficiently. Forecasting: Develop financial forecasts to support strategic planning by projecting future income, expenses, and cash flows. Policy Development: Ensure financial policies and procedures comply with relevant regulations and best practices. Internal Controls: Implement and monitor internal controls and maintain financial integrity. Governance Standards: Work closely with the Board to ensure that governance frameworks are adhered to and updated as necessary. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all legal, tax, and financial reporting obligations, including submitting timely returns and reports to relevant authorities HR Record Maintenance: Ensure all HR records are up to date, including contracts of employment and other entitlements. What are we looking for? Fully qualified accountant with a minimum of 4 years experience. Proficient administrative skills with a solid understanding of relevant IT systems. Effectively plan and prioritise tasks, allocating time and resources appropriately while identifying potential challenges to achieving goals. Excellent presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders. What Sets This Role Apart?
