The Ideal Candidate will have the following requirements: - At least 2 - 3 years experience as a similar role, industry experience would be beneficial. Expert level attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines. Excellent finance, accounting, and analytical skills, including experience with cash management, forecasting, revenue management. Knowledge of and the ability to operate computer equipment, Microsoft Office, accounts packages. Previous experience with hotel systems including Opera and Micros is beneficial. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures with strong internal control awareness Demonstrate Initiative We are looking for an ambitious, confident, and professional individual with effective communication, organisational, analytical and people management skills. A drive to succeed, excel and grow with the company. General Work overview Responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Finance office. Have responsibility for accurate accounting records and provide financial reports for the Director of Finance. Production of monthly Profit & Loss accounts and perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Ensuring reporting is timely, accurate and consistent with the financial accounts. Drive accountability for controls into the relevant departments to enable Finance to act as reviewer and advisor of best practice. Assisting with the Internal Audit & External Audit. Ensure that an effective program of Property Audit is in place and that corrective action is promptly taken where required. Management of all Financial queries from internal and external parties. Assist with the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Oversee and review the reconciliation of bank account on a weekly basis. Prepare and file VAT returns as required. Management of the weekly and monthly payroll including analysis and control. Implementation of various cost control measures and overhead management. Work in conjunction with the Director of Finance to provide effective operational finance and commercial support to the Hotel General Manager and the hotels management team. Assist the Director of Finance with the development and training of the finance team and graduates within the hotel. Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets, monthly and weekly forecasts. Identify risk exposure and effectively manage financial risk to create and preserve value, ensuring effective systems of controls are in place. Must have a knowledge of and a willingness to assist in all accounting functions as required.
