Our client Dogs Trust Ireland requires an experienced Finance Manager to join their Dublin Head Office team. Reporting to the ED, you will supervise a small team and be responsible for the complete finance function. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day financial transactions and ensure operations are maintained in an effective, up-to-date, and accurate manner. Prepare financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts, in line with accounting standards, SORP. Manage the external and internal audit processes. Monitor, review, and update financial policies and procedures. Support budget, management accounts, cash flow, and forecast activities. Ensure compliance with all finance-related statutory requirements. Act as a key member of the Extended Management Team, contributing to strategic discussions Manage and improve internal controls, processes, and procedures within the Finance and Admin teams. Assist with budget setting, long-term planning, and regulatory reporting. Identify and mitigate financial risks. Finance Manager will have/be: Professional Accounting Qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA). Minimum 3 years of experience in a busy finance department, including staff management. Strong background in management and financial accounting. Experience in the not-for-profit sector would be an advantage. Experience working with external auditors. Strong analytical and communication skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
