Finance Manager job summary: Join the finance team at Powerscourt Hotel, Resort & Spa, a five-star property in Wicklow, Ireland. As a Finance Manager, you'll have responsibility for day-to-day finance office management, accurate accounting records, and financial reporting. You'll work with the Director of Finance to provide operational finance and commercial support to the Hotel General Manager and management team. We're looking for an ambitious, confident, and professional individual with effective communication, organizational, analytical, and people management skills. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years' experience in a similar role, with expertise in finance, accounting, and analytical skills. You'll have knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, computer equipment, and Microsoft Office. You'll also have a drive to succeed, excel, and grow with the company. - Day-to-day management of the finance office
- Accurate accounting records and financial reporting
- Production of monthly profit and loss accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
- Management of financial queries from internal and external parties
- Assistance with internal and external audits
- Implementation of cost control measures and overhead management
- Work in conjunction with the Director of Finance to provide operational finance and commercial support
- Assistance with the development and training of the finance team
- Identification of risk exposure and management of financial risk
