Finance Manager role in a major employer in the Shannon region, requiring an experienced Accountant to lead the finance team and drive strategic and hands-on accounting duties.
As a key member of the finance leadership team, you will report directly to the CFO and be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties, including running the monthly and annual accounts close processes, preparing budgets and forecasts, and reviewing commercial agreements and tenders from a finance perspective.
Key responsibilities:
- Run the monthly and annual accounts close processes
- Prepare budgets and forecasts
- Review commercial agreements and tenders from a finance perspective
- Identify opportunities for cost improvements across the business
- Oversee audit and compliance duties
- Lead project teams, including on capital spend projects
- Monitor financial controls
- Support operations teams with their departmental finance needs
Requirements:
- 3rd level degree qualified in finance, business studies or a related discipline
- Fully qualified accountant
- 4+ years industry experience in a large corporate or multinational type environment
- Excellent IT skills, including a high level of ability in all Microsoft applications
- Experience/knowledge in using ERP systems (e.g. SAP, JDE, Oracle)
- Proven ability to work on your own initiative, manage projects and engage with colleagues across the organisation
The role offers a permanent position with a salary, benefits and overall package flexible depending on candidate qualifications and career experience, expected to range up to approx. €80,000.
