Job Description

Exciting opportunity to join this Semi-State body in a permanent position as a Finance Manager. This role has been created in response to the changing landscape of the business sector and offers excellent exposure to senior management with significant upward career progression. Role will be responsible for the delivery & reporting of management accounts & controls. Role Responsibilities: Responsible for the delivery of period and annual management accounts for the business & provide meaningful analysis of variances where applicable. Assist in the delivery of company finance reports for senior executives & management board. Assist in the delivery of budgets, forecasts, and five-year plans for presentation to audit & risk committee, senior management board and internal departments. Ensure accounting treatment and tax compliance in line with accounting standards and revenue requirements. Provide finance expertise to Heads of business & senior finance management ensuring delivery of business objectives and regulatory compliance. Ensure all business reporting and local objectives are fully aligned to budget/forecast plans approved by board. Review operating cost drivers for direct and group allocated costs to ensure costs are in line with approved budgets and agreed service level agreements. Identify business and finance risks and provide measurable & achievable solutions. Provide expertise and resource support for corporate projects. Ensure the control environment is maintained & compliance is adhered to across the department. Review all processes and output across the department to deliver continuous improvement. Candidate Requirements: Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 4+ years post qualification experience. Financial management experience, strong corporate governance aptitude and commercial experience is required. Significant proven track record and experience in the financial reporting, periodic end process and managing to tight reporting deadlines. Practical financial control experience and a track record of operating at a high level. Very strong communication skills. Strong knowledge of FRS102 reporting requirements. Good working knowledge of SAP applications preferred. Strategic and innovative thinking and ability to work on own initiative. Motivated and a self-starter with initiative and a strong emphasis on delivery and execution. Excellent interpersonal skills.
