Our client, a well-established and growing organisation, is currently looking to recruit a Senior Accountant. This role will be responsible for various financial and accounting activities including budgeting, monthly management accounts, year-end audit preparation, fixed asset accounting and financial reporting. Supporting the senior management team in achieving strategic objectives of the organization, the Finance Manager will work in a collaborative role providing information to assist in senior level decision-making. Role Responsibilities: Responsible for the preparation of management accounts, annual financial statements Delivery of management information such as analysis of spend to date, variances and recommending and identifying cost saving and cost reductions where necessary Oversee the completion of full monthly close of financial ledgers including completion of all necessary reconciliations and management of monthly timetable Support and supervise a small team. Maintenance and reconciliation of fixed asset ledger Responsible for monthly balance sheet reconciliations Responsible for management of internal audits and implementing related recommendations Liaise with departments on annual budget setting and monitor performance of actual against budget Assist the Director of Finance in coordinating regular department meetings. The implementation and management of financial systems and ensure continuous development of systems to provide effective reporting Candidate Requirements: Qualified Accountant A minimum of 3 years current experience in financial reporting with strong controls experience Practical experience in using integrated financial packages and Microsoft Office products Experience at supervisory or managerial level Experience of implementing new systems Good oral, presentation, and communication skills Good interpersonal and team working skills Ability to manage workload to achieve results, meet deadlines and motivate staff A very attractive remuneration and benefits package will be offered to the successful candidate.
