Financial Accountant Job In Donegal

Job Description

Morgan McKinley is delighted to partner with our client in their search for a Financial Accountant to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established Donegal based company with a rich heritage.

You will join a dynamic team, reporting directly into the Financial Controller and take an active role in executing the monthly accounts close process, preparing detailed financial reports, and collaborating with various business units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in yearend financial reporting and coordinate with external auditors.
• Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Support the preparation of quarterly management accounts.
• Prepare monthly reports and reconciliation information within set timelines, including bank, intercompany, and sales reconciliations.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stocktakes.
• Prepare statutory VAT returns for the Group.
• Manage weekly payroll information.
• Assist in costing projects.
• Maintain and update internal controls to ensure the integrity of the financial reporting process.
• Participate in various ad hoc projects as needed.

Key Requirements:

• ACA/ACCA qualified with a minimum of three years of postqualification experience in industry and/or practice.
• Strong experience in account reconciliation and preparation, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong IT and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience supervising a small team
