Morgan McKinley is working with a key player in the global asset servicing sector,
providing innovative solutions for institutional and corporate clients as part of a major
banking group. Our client is looking for a Financial Accountant based in Dublin city
centre to join the company on a hybrid basis.
The role is for an initial 14-month contract with view of permanency
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute daily accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, managing supplier and internal invoices, and overseeing accounts payable and payroll.
- Conduct monthly bookkeeping for accrued and prepaid expenses, manage fixed asset accounting, and generate monthly and annual financial statements in line with local and IFRS standards.
- Contribute to the management report and verify accounts for review.
- Assist in preparing annual tax returns and filings (VAT, corporate tax, etc.),ensuring consistency across accounting and tax reports.
- Document operational procedures, monitor regulatory compliance, and prepare reports for oversight bodies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Accountant or a relevant degree in accounting orfinance with applicable work experience
- Previous experience in finance or banking roles
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and regulatory reporting software is a plus, but not required
- Detail-oriented with the ability to verify numerical and descriptive information
- Self-motivated and comfortable working with complex data
- Adaptable to a changing financial landscape and new accounting software
