Job Description
Job Summary: Financial Accountant position at a leading PLC in the Dublin area, with hybrid working and salary 70-75k plus package. Key responsibilities include managing financial accounts, conducting variance analysis, and filing tax returns.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare and close monthly management accounts and reporting packs within a 5-day close window.
- Process monthly journals and review supporting schedules for key General Ledger and Balance Sheet accounts.
- Conduct overhead variance analysis against budget and prior year figures.
- Review and present Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Filing and reconciling tax returns for PAYE, VAT, and WHT.
- Manage weekly and monthly payroll, including KPI reporting.
- Prepare audit files and liaise with auditors.
- Collaborate with operations to manage budgetary controls.
- Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc project work as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Qualified Accountant, ideally trained in a Big 4/top 10 practice with relevant post qualification experience in industry.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
