Job Description

Job Summary: Financial Accountant position at a leading PLC in the Dublin area, with hybrid working and salary 70-75k plus package. Key responsibilities include managing financial accounts, conducting variance analysis, and filing tax returns.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and close monthly management accounts and reporting packs within a 5-day close window.
  • Process monthly journals and review supporting schedules for key General Ledger and Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Conduct overhead variance analysis against budget and prior year figures.
  • Review and present Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Filing and reconciling tax returns for PAYE, VAT, and WHT.
  • Manage weekly and monthly payroll, including KPI reporting.
  • Prepare audit files and liaise with auditors.
  • Collaborate with operations to manage budgetary controls.
  • Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc project work as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • Qualified Accountant, ideally trained in a Big 4/top 10 practice with relevant post qualification experience in industry.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
