Financial Accountant role in a Dublin-based company, responsible for managing accounting data, producing financial accounts, and performing reconciliations.
As a Financial Accountant, you will work alongside the Finance team to ensure month-end data is processed on a timely basis and recorded accurately. This role reports into the Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the integrity and accuracy of accounting data in the company's ERP system.
- Produce the monthly financial accounts of the group, including intercompany reconciliations and consolidated accounts.
- Perform revenue cut-off, sales & COGS reconciliations, deferrals & amortisation, Balance Sheet and P&L analysis, and cost allocations.
- Contribute to the development of monthly internal reporting requirements, including review of budget/actual/forecast.
- Prepare the Statutory Accounts and annual Corporation Tax computations.
- Liaise with external auditors and coordinate the year-end audits.
- Play a key role in the preparation and compilation of annual budgets and forecasts for the company.
- Assist with the preparation and calculation of R&D Tax credits reclaim and grants.
- Oversee and be responsible for VAT returns.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant with 2 years PQE preferable.
- Experience of working within a team in a diverse environment.
- Experience of consolidation/exposure to US accounts preferred.
- Initiative and self-motivation.
- Strong Excel skills essential; exposure to NetSuite ERP highly desirable.
- Strong operational knowledge of accounting best practices and their implementation for both Irish/UK GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS.
- Excellent numerical ability/reporting skills & data analysis & interpretation skills.
