Job Description

Financial Accountant Our client is a leading semi-state organisation that currently require a recently qualified accountant to join their finance team. The Finance Office is responsible for the provision of timely and insightful financial information to the Board, Executive and Management. It also has responsibility for the ongoing development of the companys internal control procedures and financial information system to fulfil regulatory and statutory requirements. The Finance Department provides a key business partnering approach across all of the Executive Directorates across the Group to support and enable delivery of Group strategic objectives. Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting you will have a broad range of responsibilities within the Financial Reporting function, from assisting with all elements of internal and external financial reporting to supporting with management of the finance ERP, playing a key role in the continuous development of the system and processes. Responsibilities include - Supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly internal and external financial reporting to various stakeholders Assist with the preparation of the IFRS Group Annual Report and Interim Financial Statements Preparation of Subsidiary Financial Statements under FRS101 Supporting the year-end external audit by responding to auditors requests for information and documentation Assist with the Group budgeting and forecasting processes Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial statements. Responsibility for the finance system (Microsoft Dynamics) ensuring effective and efficient processing of financial data Ensure timely completion of audits and other financial compliance activities. Partner with various business functions to provide financial insights and support. Collaborate with the Financial Reporting team to improve processes and implement best practices. Requirements New or recently qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) Ideally Big 4/Top 10 practice trained accountant Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and word.
