Job Description
We have been engaged by a newly formed media and entertainment company, with huge exposure to the US and some excellent post productions filmed and in the plenty current in the pipeline. They require an accountant to join the current Head of Finance and take ownership of the accounting. Due to the nature of the projects, this will require excellent attention to detail, modelling/cashflow projecting, managing project finances and working with internal stakeholders. Responsibilities: Work on month-end accounts production Financial modelling - Project-based finance Intercompany reconciliations, reconcile IC Matrix Balance sheet reconciliations for group entities Prepare cashflow for current projects Maintain and suggest financial controls and procedures Work on board packs with the Head of Finance Systems development, ideas and implementation over time Finance transformation, implement new tools such as AI Handle the annual audit engagements and tax compliance such as VAT returns. Plenty of Ad hoc work - It's a start-up! Qualifications: Newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA etc) Understanding of month-end accounting Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Commercially minded, adjust models and understand cashflows Ambitious and hardworking Ideal Candidate: Do you want to help create a cool working culture, work and socialise with the team?
