Role Overview Purcelloleary Recruitment are seeking a motivated and highly experienced individual to join our team as Financial Accountant for your client. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and rapidly-scaling company. As a member of a Finance team of three, you will report to the Finance Manager and your duties will be a varied mix of project, financial and management accounting. Your role will be to support our diverse teams of 100+ consultants offering products and services in the Technical Advisory, ESG and software sectors. Our expansion into new territories will also provide you with many opportunities to learn, build your capability and be a part of our exciting growth journey. This is a full-time role with the option of hybrid working (minimum 3 days onsite). Key Responsibilities for the Financial Accountant Process supplier invoices to tight deadlines for various entities. Ensure payments, amounts and records are correct. Investigate and resolve supplier queries in a timely and efficient manner. Weekly bank reconciliations. Assist Finance Manager with month end processes including the posting of journals and preparation of the consolidated monthly management account pack. Balance sheet reconciliations Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register Profit & Loss variance analysis Liaise with HR in the preparation and review of payroll for various entities Process & review expense claims through our expense management portal and ensure appropriate supporting documentation is in place. Customer and project profitability analysis KPI and Ad-hoc reporting Prepare Bi monthly VAT returns, quarterly Vies & CSO returns for review by Finance Manager Assist in the preparation of the annual audits Support the Finance team with ad hoc requests where appropriate. Requirements for the Financial Accountant Part Qualified /Qualified Accountant with at least 1-year PQE Ability to interrogate financial systems and analyse financial information Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and good working knowledge of other MS Office applications Experience using Payroll, Expense and Accounting systems Integrity and confidentiality Flexibility during month end and audits Ability to prioritise and work towards tight deadlines Relevant Skills Excellent leadership and managerial skills Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate with influence Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organisation Solid decision-making and problem-solving abilities Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity Skills: Analytics Finance Monthend Benefits: Annual Bonus / 13th Cheque
