Job Description
Senior Financial Accountant required with 2-3 years post-qualification experience. Based in Oranmore, Co. Galway, reporting to Financial Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of staff within the accounting function
- Reconcile all bank accounts
- Prepare monthly management accounts for Group companies and annual accounts to trial balance level
- Monitor, control and report on cash function for each division
- Maintain and improve internal controls within the accounting function
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and WEEE returns
- Prepare for year-end statutory audits, including journals, accruals, asset ledger and reconciliations
- Approve payment of staff business expenses
- Administrate company motor fleet insurance, accident reports and claims
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
- ACCA/CIMA qualification is essential
- 2-3 years experience required, with experience in a similar industry an advantage
- Proven experience in people management is essential
- Strong knowledge of Windows, Excel and other related software
- Excellent communication skills, initiative and customer focus
- Ability to work as part of a team and work independently
