Our Client a leading Financial Services business in operation for over 40 years are the largest and best established credit management business in Ireland and are looking to attract a Financial Accountant for their business in Galway. Reporting to the Finance Manager and as a critical member of the Finance function, the successful candidate will partner with Managers and other support teams across the business to deliver on projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Preparation of month end accounts for three separate legal entities Preparation of VAT returns for the companies including bimonthly returns, EC sales lists and cross border disclosures Oversight of the daily banking Supervision of staff including banking and onboarding Liaise with external client on issues/queries as they arise Process improvements covering nominal ledger and customer relationship management (CRM) system Supervision of client invoicing Stakeholder engagement across the business with the wider Finance and Operations Teams and Clients Ad hoc duties as they arise KEY REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate must be newly qualified or with up to 2 years post qualification experience. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrable experience of working in a deadline driven environment. Excellent analytical and commercial capabilities with a can do approach.
