Financial Accountant Tipperary Cooperative Society Ltd 6 mth contract / Potential for Permanent Background: We are currently seeking to hire a finance professional to join our team in Tipperary Co-Op. The Financial Accountant will report to the Financial Controller and & will work as a part of a small team of 5-6 people. The successful candidate will have daily interaction with key stakeholders within a very interesting working environment. We are looking for someone with high energy and a pragmatic and flexible approach to their work. Our Financial Accountant will be asked to collaborate with all levels of the organisation. While this is initially a 6 month contract there is a strong possibility that business development will lead to a permanent role. Key Attributes: Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) some industry experience an advantage. Strong IT skills, advanced excel experience; Good analytical skills with an interest in providing insightful commentary as well as financial analysis to stakeholders Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality are essential: Ability to work as a team player and interact with colleagues in AP, AR, Management Accounts and Payroll Ability to prioritise and manage tasks under pressure on an ongoing basis; Excellent drive, enthusiasm and commitment; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Core Responsibilities Help to deliver management reporting on financial and business performance; The successful candidate will work closely with our operations & commercial teams to provide a daily/weekly/monthly tracker on key business metrics This will include tracking plant performance in our Butter, Cheese and Powder plants supporting the managers of these units to maximise returns on the milk processed (Yield) Administer our Milk Payments system for our farmer suppliers on a monthly basis. Work with our Commercial team to ensure that milk inputs from Third Party suppliers are properly accounted for and invoiced. Work closely with the FC to deliver continuous improvement of finance processes and systems providing support to ongoing and future projects as required; Provide decision making and ad-hoc support for the CFO and senior management Salary & Package Commensurate with Experience.
