Financial Accountant Financial Accountant required by busy large service company based in Co Waterford.The company is seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiasticFinancial Accountant to join its finance team. The Financial Accountant will play a leading and important role in providing finance support to the Finance Director and the broader Management Team Role and responsibilities Full responsibility for the preparation of monthly management accounts for various entities including margin analysis and other reports for the monthly management reporting pack within a defined timeline. Be a leader in implementing continuous improvement in business processes. Provide functional advice and training to team members. Providing Finance Business Partner support to projects teams, assisting them on queries to enable them to make good decisions. Responsible for supervising the processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable team. Responsible for ensuring the successful day-to-day finance operations including employee expenses, cash management, weekly & monthly payroll review and approvals. Preparation and submission of the VAT and other revenue returns. Maintenance of the fixed asset register. Responsible for the accruals and prepayment journals. Dealing with insurance quotes and renewals. Assisting operations on the assessment of various contracts. Overseeing and ensuring all areas of controls and compliance are being adhered to. Contribute to the continued development of controls and reports. Liaising with external auditors as required. Ensure all regulatory, compliance and statistical matters are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner Example CRO, CSO, ROS, Preparation and updating of weekly bank reconciliations, cashflow forecasting reports. Other ad hoc responsibilities as required. The Candidate Must hold Recognised accounting qualification, ACA, ACCA, ACMA or CPA. Minimum 4 years experience working in a busy accounting role. Industry experience an advantage but Practice experience will be considered. Experience in the preparation of detailed monthly accounts reporting pack. Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities with excellent attention to detail. Organised approach to work and driven to meet deadlines. Comfortable and confident communicator, able to effectively interact and cooperate with people across the organisation, Suppliers and customers if required.
