My client, a growing Irish group based in North Kildare, which has expanded its operations in recent years, is looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join it's expanding finance team. You may be working within an accounting firm and be looking for a first move to industry into a varied and hands-on accounting role, or working in a similar role in industry and looking for greater opportunities to progress and to be part of a growing business, There is a competitive salary on offer for the successful candidate. This location may suit candidates based in Kildare, Dublin West and surrounding counties such as Westmeath, areas of Meath and Offaly etc. The role: Assisting Financial Controller in preparation of monthly reporting and annual accounts for a number of different entities Assisting with preparation of budgets and forecasting Mentoring of junior team members and support everyday book-keeping and payroll Maintenance of Sage company filings Preparing accounts to trial balance stage Support in the preparation and filing of Revenue returns; VAT, RCT, PAYE Oversight of Debtors & Creditors ledger management Liaise with other departments, external suppliers and external auditors as required Assist in the implementation of policies and procedures across various departments The Person: A Qualified Accountant although a strong finalist / part-qualified would be considered if they have suitable experience. 3+ years relevant professional experience within either an accounting firm or hands-on accounting role within a small - medium sized business. Team mentoring experience an advantage Experience in filing revenue returns Proficiency in accounting software packages such as Sage and also Microsoft Excel Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Ability to multitask Good organisational skills Excellent oral and written communication.
