Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join a busy and growing Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Director, the chosen candidate will join a supportive team in a varied and interesting role that offers learning and career progression opportunities for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities: Involvement with the month-end process Accurately calculating the appropriate costs to assign to projects in the month including close coordination with colleagues from other business functions. Performing monthly stock reconciliations from system stock quantities to physical quantities counted as part of monthly cycle counts and investigating differences Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations. Involvement in board pack preparation and other monthly reporting. Preparation of weekly payroll file for submission to our third-party payroll provider. Preparation of billing documents for clients including close cooperation with the Commercial team to ensure billing values and the detail provided on the invoice reflect work performed. Act as a key liaison with the companys auditors and other third-party business contacts for quarterly audit of the Invoice Discounting facility. Involvement in system enhancement projects as they arise Cost analysis and budgeting work The Ideal Candidate: Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar) A minimum of three years industry experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, or qualified through accounting practice. Knowledge and prior experience working with Finance ERP systems. Strong Microsoft Office skills, in particular, Excel capabilities. Inquisitive mindset and will to learn. Ability to work in a team.
