Financial Accountant


Our client, a long-established international engineering & technical services multinational are now undergoing a period of significant expansion across all business units have engaged with us in Cpl to help them recruit an experienced Financial Accountant to join the team in Shannon & take up this newly created role.

The Job:


As a key part of the team & reporting directly to the FC with a dotted line to the CFO, your duties will be focused on the preparation of monthly & annual management accounts as well as supporting business unit managers with their departmental finance needs & projects.


More specifically you will manage the month end close processes, complete P&L reviews, prepare complex balance sheet & cash flow forecasts, take ownership of departmental annual budgets, implement continuous improvement initiatives, lead project teams (including for capital spend projects) & provide financial advice & guidance to operations management teams across the business.


Your Skills/Experience that we need:

  • 3rd level degree qualified.
  • Fully qualified accountant.
  • 23+ years industry experience with experience gained in a multinational manufacturing type of environment a significant advantage.
  • Excellent IT skills including a high level of ability in all Microsoft applications.
  • Experience/knowledge in using ERP systems would be an advantage.
  • Proven ability to work on your own initiative & manage projects.

The Offer:


This job is being offered on a permanent basis with salary, benefits & overall package flexible depending on candidate qualifications & career experience but expected to range to approx.

65k.

In addition there will be an excellent benefits package including pension & healthcare contributions, annual bonus, educational assistances & others.


This role will be a hybrid mix of 3 days in office in Shannon with 2 days working from home/remote so could suit candidates based in Co.

Galway or the Oranmore/east side of Galway city.

Candidates without the relevant visa/work permit to live & work in Ireland will not be considered.
