Job Description

The employer is a Shannon-based (hybrid) leading international Corporate Services advisory firm providing outsourced accounting and compliance services to the aviation sector - including ABS and related structures Senior Financial Accountant Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the role will be to work with the Head of Accounting in meeting the accounting, tax and other reporting commitments of the company. The person will be expected to provide accounting services to aa number of individual entitiesand liaise with the audit firms / tax advisors and other external parties with regards to their services. The successful candidate will be responsible for their individual goals and in helping to meet the wider departmental goals: The candidate will have the following specific responsibilities: Prepare statutory financial statements / management accounts including Director's Reports, Risk Notes disclosures and other financial information, for a range of SPVs in the Aircraft Leasing sector Prepare monthly management accounts for consolidation and prepare ad-hoc financial reports for clients as required Review cash manager reports, portfolio performance information including trades to prepare reports reflecting the movement of the portfolio Prepare and file Tax, VAT, European Central Bank and other relevant returns as necessary Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, ensure timely and correct filing of the administrative records Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned or requested Assist with managing and training junior staff members Requirements / Behavioural Competencies: A recently qualified practice-trained accountant ready to make the transition into industry - note applicants from an industry background already working in aviation and/or corporate services also welcome. In addition, the following qualitied are relevant; Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills Must be ambitious with a bright and positive outlook and able to work on own initiative within an international, multicultural environment Excellent communication skills and fluency in English is essential (fluency in other European languages would be an advantage) Versatile team player - flexible, pragmatic, thorough, pro-active and service-minded.
