Our client a global leader in the pharmaceutical sector with a strong presence in both the Irish, UK and EU market. They are rapidly growing and are currently looking for a Financial Accountant to join them initially on a 9 month contract, with strong view for permanency. With offices in Dublin City Centre, they are operating with a hybrid working model 1 day in the office and 4 days working from home, and are offering a competitive salary, bonus, pension and health. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for: Collaborating with the Finance Manager and Cost Accounting Manager to complete month-end accounting tasks according to the established timetable. Overseeing the month-end close process and fulfilling all related annual accounting requirements for four subsidiary entities. Preparing monthly departmental overhead reports, partnering with budget owners, and investigating variances from the budget. Assisting with the interim and year-end audits of the group's financial statements. Helping prepare individual financial statements for group entities to meet filing deadlines. Minimum Requirements: A qualified accountant with ACA or ACCA certification and membership in a recognised accountancy body. Experience with a Big 4 or Top 10 practice. Preferred 1-2 years of industry experience, with an advantage for those with Pharma/Manufacturing auditing or industry experience. Strong understanding of IFRS. Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to take ownership of tasks and responsibilities. Capable of managing multiple priorities and working within tight deadlines. Clear understanding of internal controls, ideally within a SOX environment.
