Job Overview
Our Client, an Irish based construction company, specialises in Design & Manufacture. They seek an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team.
The successful candidate will assist in preparing, reviewing and finalising monthly accounts and reporting packs. They will also monitor performance and risks, evaluate business proposals and tenders, and work on ERP projects as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assistance in preparation, review and finalisation of monthly accounts and reporting packs
- Preparation of year end accounts and management of the year-end audit and statutory accounts submissions
- Monitoring actual performance, profitability, and performing variance analysis
- Identifying areas of budget concern and potential impact on financial performance
- Preparation and submission of VAT submissions
- Evaluation of new business proposals and tenders, and preparing commercial pricing models
- Continuous review and implementation of internal controls and procedures
- Other ongoing finance/ERP projects
Personal Competencies and Qualifications:
- Hands-on and can-do approach
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, advanced knowledge of Excel
- Experience of working with ERP & MRP systems
- Exceptional communication skills
