Job Description

Allianz plc is looking for a Financial Accounting & Reporting Manager to manage IFRS Reporting including quarterly and annual reporting and the Financial Statements. Reporting directly to the Controller, Financial Reporting, leading the Financial & Accounting Reporting team through reporting periods and working with the Allianz Group. While you will be officially based in Elm Park, Dublin 4 the team uphold a hybrid way of working. Key Responsibilities Manage annual external audit providing finance information, process walkthroughs Responsible for overall team management including recruitment and daily management of several direct reports Ensuring adequate control framework is in place and understanding control issues Analysis and presentation of change in quarterly results to local committees for approval. Audit Committee / Risk Committee and Board financial reporting Accounting methodology for IFRS and Solvency II including working with Allianz Group as needed. Ensure adequate processes in place to act on any relevant changes e.g. to IFRS / IFRS17 and Regulatory reporting Support Regulatory reporting manager with Quarterly, bi-annual and annual QRTs and NSTs, SFCR and RSR reports as appropriate Co-ordinating and working with Allianz (Ireland) Actuarial, Investments, Risk, Reinsurance, Claims and Portfolio Underwriting functions to ensure completion of required reporting. Work with Allianz Group teams to ensure Allianz ( Ireland ) reporting requirements are met. Operational daily management and support, technical accounting issues, and variance analysis during quarter and year end reporting including escalating to Controller, Financial Reporting and CFO. Be a leader within the Allianz ( Ireland ) Finance department, working to ensure the success of the team, through collaboration with all areas of the business. Key Requirements/Skills/Experience Qualified Professional, 5 years + experience in financial regulated industry Understanding of IFRS insurance requirements Ability to analyse and explain technical accounting questions Demonstrated experience of coordinating and delivering highly accurate output in an environment Previous involvement in IT projects, implementing reporting efficiencies Experience in SAP reporting tools (Business Explorer), Power BI Intermediate to advanced Microsoft excel skills Ability to manage and complete a variety of projects simultaneously Skills: Detailed - Oriented Strong Analytical Ability Compliance Skills Intermediate / Advanced Microsoft Skills Benefits: Work From Home Pension Healthcare Parking Laptop / WFH Equipment Meal Allowance / Canteen Hybrid Working Paid Holidays
