Job Description

Financial Analyst Business Case & Cost Analysis sought to provide key insights and analysis for business cases and value creation initiatives within a leading private equity-backed financial services company.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with different departments to prepare business cases for various projects and value creation initiatives.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly financial performance analysis for these initiatives, ensuring costs are accurately tracked and allocated.
  • Ensure accurate cost tracking and allocation within the ERP system, and post accruals for each project.
  • Track synergies and cost savings against the financial results.
  • Prepare monthly reports on project costs and value creation initiatives, providing insights into actuals versus budgets and synergies/cost savings.
  • Develop and maintain reporting templates in Adaptive Planning.
  • Partner with the Transformations Office and Budget Holders to prepare financials for business case submissions.
  • Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Act as a strategic financial partner to business case owners, advising on the financial implications of decisions to drive positive outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Group Finance team on cost reporting and analysis.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of post-qualified experience in financial analysis, with a strong ability to provide insights that facilitate effective budget management.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct, Adaptive Planning, and Salesforce is a plus.
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • A professional accounting qualification is preferred.
