Join to apply for the Financial Controller - Cork / Hybrid role at Forté Recruitment Specialists.My client, a growing Irish business based in Cork, which has expanded its operations in recent years, is looking to recruit a Financial Controller to play a key role in its next phase of growth. You will be a Financial Controller (or similar) looking for a new challenge and to be part of a growing business, or an experienced Senior Financial Accountant / Management Accountant / Finance Manager, looking for more rapid progression.You will ideally have 6+ years relevant hands-on financial management experience within either a medium/large sized Irish / International business, and be able to demonstrate strong people management and commercial experience. You will also ideally have trained / worked in an accountancy practice during your career to date.It is anticipated that this role will offer strong future progression, subject to performance, so there are strong career development opportunities for the successful candidate.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrepare and present comprehensive monthly management accounts reports for Senior Management / The Board.Influence and advise senior business leaders in relation to the business's strategic objectives.Oversee statutory Financial Statements for audit and presentation to the Board for approval, ensuring consistency with the Group accounting policies and procedures, regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.Conduct thorough financial analyses to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities to drive the implementation and delivery of the group business plan.Establish Commercial KPIs for the business.Lead and manage a Finance team, including supervising team members, recruitment and development.Collaborate with Operations to develop precise budget forecasts and monitor financial performance.Ensure financial controls are effective and being appropriately applied company-wide conforming to established regulations.Identify improvements to both financial processes and systems and make changes as required.Provide support to the board on contract negotiations.Minimum Education & Skills RequiredA strong academic background, a university degree, and a professional accountancy qualification from a recognized professional body.Excellent accounting and taxation skills.6+ years of relevant financial management experience.Strong analytical skills with high competency in Microsoft office products.Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a broad range of business functions.Capacity to meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards and effective time management.Strong people management experience.Track record of process and systems improvement.Excellent oral and written communication.Experience working with a range of accounting packages / systems.SkillsFinancial AnalysisFinancial AccountingFinancial ControlManagement AccountingBudgetingForecastingSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionAccounting/Auditing and FinanceIndustriesAccounting #J-18808-Ljbffr
