Job Description

The employer is a leading service provider and developer within the environmental technology sector Financial Accounting Oversee the daily transaction processing - AP, AR and Payroll Ownership of monthly close - b/s recs, JEs etc Produce monthly financial statements and annual accounts including audit pack Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Management Reporting and Analysis Prepare details management reporting and analysis of P&L and Balance Sheet Advise management of issues and propose remedial action Ongoing development of reporting pack and KPIs Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish financial goals and objectives. Provide regular financial forecasts and variance analyses to support decision-making. Cash Management: Manage cash flow and liquidity, ensuring optimal utilisation of funds. Implement effective treasury management practices. Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement the financial strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives. Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organisation. Risk Management: Identify and assess potential financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate these risks. Develop and maintain a robust internal control framework. Compliance: Oversee all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and reporting. Ownership of broader compliance requirements including statutory / environmental. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Recruit, train, and develop finance staff as necessary. Advisory Role: Provide financial insights and advice to the CEO and SLT to support strategic decision-making. Qualifications and education requirements Proven experience in a financial management role, preferably within industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team. Proficiency in financial IT systems, particularly SAGE, and other relevant software. Excellent knowledge of Irish accounting standards, tax laws, and company law compliance. Experience in budgeting, cost accounting, and financial analysis. Skills: Financial Accounting Management Reporting Senior Management Team
