Job Description: Our client, a global manufacturer, is seeking a Financial Controller to manage the financial operations for their Ireland and UK entities. The role includes overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls for multiple sites, ensuring robust financial management and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Finalise monthly accounts and provide detailed commentary to the executive team. Analyse financial data, producing KPIs and metrics to evaluate business performance. Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, stock, and capital expenditure. Lead forecasting and budgeting processes, including financial planning and analysis. Review and monitor capital expenditure, ensuring accurate ROI analysis and spend tracking. Maintain rolling cashflow forecasts for the group. Manage risk assessments, including credit checks and project evaluations. Coordinate audit processes and ensure timely, accurate government returns. Collaborate across departments to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive digital transformation initiatives. Provide ad hoc analytical support to various teams within the organisation. Experience and Qualifications Qualified accountant or equivalent certification. Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a commercially focused role. Familiarity with ERP systems (experience with SAP is a plus). Knowledge of FRS102 and US GAAP is desirable. Proficiency in data visualisation tools such as Power BI. Advanced skills in MS Excel and other MS Office programs. Personal Characteristics: Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret and work within complex datasets. Highly motivated with excellent communication and presentation skills. Detail-oriented with strong time management and multitasking abilities.
