Financial Controller sought to support US GAAP closing processes, drive process improvements, and collaborate with global teams.

For our Centre Of Excellence (CoE) team, we are looking for a Financial Controller to work in close partnership with FMC's Global Accounting COE in Ireland.

This role involves collaborating with FMC's Accounting COE in Ireland to ensure accurate and complete US GAAP closing processes.

  • Collaborate with FMC's Accounting COE in Ireland to ensure accurate and complete US GAAP closing processes.
  • Perform close activities for assigned countries, including revenue recognition, reserves, and bad debt reviews.
  • Liaise with commercial and finance teams and manage local statutory financial statements under local GAAP.
  • Ensure reconciliations are maintained between US and local ledgers.
  • Support statutory and tax audits and manage relationships with third-party service providers.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and assist with internal audit requests.
  • Review EMEA balance sheet reconciliations and statutory financials.
  • Prepare forecasts for currency exposures and review results.
  • Ensure compliance with Global Accounting COE and business unit guidelines.

Key Qualifications:

  • Professionally recognized accountancy qualification.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience (RTR, Auditing, Accounting).
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX processes.
  • Experience in preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications – specifically Excel and SAP S4 HANA.
  • Excellent analytical skills; able to aggregate, synthesize, and reconcile large amounts of complex data.
  • Self-starter; capable of anticipating and proactively responding to underlying business changes.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner across functions through relationship-based influence.
  • Willingness to learn about the Agricultural EMEA Business.
