Financial Controller sought for a growing Irish business in Cork, to play a key role in its next phase of growth, with strong future progression opportunities.
We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our team, with a strong academic background and a professional accountancy qualification from a recognized professional body. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of relevant financial management experience, with a proven track record of process and systems improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive monthly management accounts reports for senior management and the board.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analyses to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities to drive the implementation and delivery of the group business plan.
- Financial Control: Oversee statutory financial statements for audit and presentation to the board for approval, ensuring consistency with the group accounting policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting standards.
- Leadership: Lead and manage a finance team, including supervising team members, recruitment, and development.
- Commercial KPIs: Establish commercial KPIs for the business and collaborate with operations to develop precise budget forecasts and monitoring of financial performance.
- Financial Controls: Ensure financial controls are effective and being appropriately applied company-wide, conforming to established regulations.
Requirements:
- Education: A strong academic background, a university degree, and a professional accountancy qualification from a recognized professional body.
- Experience: 6+ years of relevant financial management experience.
- Skills: Excellent accounting and taxation skills, strong analytical skills, high competency in Microsoft office products, ability to work independently and collaboratively with a broad range of business functions.
