For our Centre Of Excellence (Co E) team we are looking for a:
Financial Controller

In this role you would work in close partnership with FMC's Global Accounting COE in Ireland, supporting the monthly US GAAP (General Accepted Accounting Principles) closing process.

With a focus on non-standard processes and knowledge-centric accounting entries and judgement areas, revenue recognition, provisions etc.
You'd partnering with the EMEA commercial team and Finance teams in the dedicated region.

The role is also responsible for supporting the Regional Manager to drive process improvements across the regional including standardization and documentation.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with FMC's Accounting COE in Ireland to ensure accurate and complete US GAAP closing processes.
Perform close activities for assigned countries, including revenue recognition, reserves, and bad debt reviews.
Liaise with commercial and finance teams and manage local statutory financial statements under local GAAP.
Ensure reconciliations are maintained between US and local ledgers.
Support statutory and tax audits and manage relationships with third-party service providers.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and assist with internal audit requests.
Review EMEA balance sheet reconciliations, and statutory financials.
Prepared of forecasts for currency exposures and review of results
Ensure compliance with Global Accounting COE and business unit guidelines.

Your qualification

Professional recognised accountancy qualification
5+ years of relevant experience (RTR, Auditing, Accounting)
Working knowledge with US GAAP, SOX processes
Experience in preparation of statutory accounts
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications – specifically Excel and SAP S4 HANA
Excellent analysis skills; able to aggregate / synthesize / reconcile large amounts of complex data
Self-starter; capable of anticipating and proactively responding to underlying business changes
Demonstrated ability to partner across functions through relationship-based influence
Willingness to learn of the Agricultural EMEA Business
