Financial Controller sought for a leading global manufacturer with over 60 years of experience delivering precision-engineered products for industrial applications.

The company has internationally recognized brands sold in more than 90 countries, with European headquarters in Ireland and operations in Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the UK, and the USA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finalize monthly accounts and provide insightful commentary to the executive team.
  • Develop and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and value-added metrics to assess business and project performance.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, stock, working capital, and capital expenditure.
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting efforts to support strategic decision-making.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial and cross-departmental internal controls.
  • Review departmental capital expenditure requests and monitor spending.
  • Oversee production efficiency, headcount requirements, and output analysis.
  • Maintain and review rolling cashflows for each entity and consolidate them into the group cashflow.
  • Evaluate credit risk for new customers and assess risks related to new projects.
  • Manage the audit process and ensure timely group consolidation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of government returns.
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Drive the group's digital transformation journey by deploying modern technologies.
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support to various teams.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant or related qualification.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working in a commercially focused role.
  • Experience of ERP systems (preferably SAP but not a prerequisite).
  • Working knowledge of FRS102 and US GAAP.
  • Previous experience using Power BI and/or other data visualisation packages.
  • Advanced abilities in MS Excel and other MS Office programs.
  • Excellent analytical & reporting skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Collaborative and friendly, comfortable working in a global environment and in cross-functional teams.
